Basic Promotion & Advanced Services

This section contains an overview of the BASIC PROMOTION SERVICES and the ADVANCED SERVICES offered by KJER.com to our label and artist clients.

BASIC PROMOTION SERVICES
- Basic Promotion is available for GOLD and SILVER members.
- We use Twitter to inform the world about new releases when they go live on the selected digital release dates.
- We configure selected promo tracks in regards to: 1) automatic notification campaigns towards 3000+ blogging og podcasting sites worldwide, and/or 2) manual inclusion in our "Zone Elektrik" promo track package for DJs.

ADVANCED SERVICES
- Advanced Services are available for GOLD members.
- We initiate and coordinate iTunesTM feature release campaigns, a brilliant opportunity for our customers to increase the amount of "buy clicks" significantly. Please note in the case of iTunes Stores, that your campaign may be targeted on a multi-territorial basis (e.g. iTunes US, iTunes UK, iTunes DE, iTunes DK, etc.) according to your preferred setup.
- We install digital PDF booklets and music video tracks on all types of iTunes
TM releases (albums, eps, singles).
- We pitch "electronic genre" releases to BeatportTM, JunoTM, StompyTM, BoomkatTM. These download stores are highly selective and they do not automatically ingest the catalog of any label.
- We initiate "exclusive pre-releases" on BeatportTM and JunoTM. This means that any given "electronic genre" release can be made exclusively available on these download stores for 2 or 4 (or even 8) weeks, before it goes live on all other download stores in the network.
- We pitch releases not only for the regular Amazon
TM MP3 download store, but also for their physical Disc-On-Demand setup.

Which tracks will be promoted?
You may flag out any track on any kind of release for "promotional purposes". We have a so-called metadata worksheet for this procedure. When you flag out tracks for promotion ("free use"), we will add them to a pool of promo tracks where we - and potentially all of our international promotional partners involved - pick out one or more tracks. As to our promotional partners, their choice of promo tracks depends on the scope and focus of their business.

Which type of international promotional partners are we talking about?
The three international promotional partners are based in the United States. Some of these represent purely digital partners such as social networks  Their role is to spend time listening to your tracks and hopefully post great reviews. Others again are physical partners, such as discotheques and bars. Hopefully, all the DJs involved will give your tracks intense airplay. However, there are no guarantees.

Terminology

- the term 'Catalogue: Takes all / FTP push' means that the promotional partner automatically accepts your selection of promo tracks regardless of the musical genres and styles represented by your and your label. The promotional partners will automatically receive KJER.com's selection of promo tracks, known as the "Zone Elektrik" promo track package.
- the term 'Catalogue: Takes picks / FTP pull' means that the promotional partner focuses on specific musical genres and styles, e.g. dance, house, techno or indie rock, and initiates an FTP pull if the track/artist meets the specs. In other words, the promotional partner does not automatically accept your selection of promo tracks.

It is your choice
Please note that this is a fully optional choice meaning that you may also decide not to flag out any of your tracks at all. But still, you should know that it represents a really unique promotional opportunity for your music right there.


Goombah / FlyFi (USA)

  • Focus: Launched in February, 2007, Goombah is a music discovery service that analyzes the iTunes library of every Goombah member. Once the library has been analyzed, Goombah matches each member to the top 20 people with similar musical taste in the community. Goombah recommends PromoTracks to members based on the Goombah community preferences.

IODA Blanket Promo License (USA)
